Shaolin Summercamp 2023
2 Weeks intensive Training and practice of the Shaolin Arts
For the second time since the Shaolin Temple Europe was founded, we are organizing a Shaolin Summer Camp from June 19th to July 1nd, 2023.
The teaching masters of this event are Shifu Yan Lei (34th generation) and Shi Heng Yi (35th generation).
Shifu Yan Lei was born in 1973 into a traditional family in Xin Jiang Province, China. He is the son of a fisherman and the youngest of seven children.
He began his martial arts life at the age of fourteen when he traveled to the other side of China to train at the Shaolin Temple in Henan Province.
His master, the Shaolin abbot, Shi Yong Xin, gave him the name Lei - which means thunder - and he became a Shaolin martial artist of the 34th generation. At the age of eighteen he traveled to various kung fu schools to learn additional kung fu and qigong skills from famous masters.
At the age of 28, he was invited to the West to teach authentic Shaolin martial arts.
Shifu Yan Lei specializes in the Iron Shirt Qigong, which was tested by scientists in the Science Museum.
Further information on Shifu Yan Lei can be found directly on his Website.
